WOWOW WUBZY
My daughter Renee a former student of Eastwood decided to spend her homecoming with her old and new friends from Eastwood. Renee is currently a student at Penta where she got the chance to reconnect with some of her friends she made while attending Eastwood. Last night her and her boyfriend were turned away from the school dance after her friend filled out the form for them to attend and purchased the 3 tickets for them to all go to the dance together, Not to mention my daughter also attended one of this schools dances last year, so it's not like this is a kid who only knows one student at this school or has never attended any school dances at this school before. I am vary upset that a school would turn any student away who dressed up not to have a good time at a SCHOOL DANCE not to mention this student who drove all the way from Holland just to have a good time with their friends. Would you rather these said students be out getting themselves into trouble or having fun at a school function with friends and school staff and parents who are there to keep them safe? I am a parent who literally lives pay check to pay check and for me to spend the kind of money I spent on my daughter to attend this dance just for her to be turned away at the door really upsets me, this might not seem like a big deal to some of you but to us it's a vary big deal and something I looked forward to seeing her all dressed up and show me pictures of everyone INCUDING her having a blast, she looked forward to this as well and talked of nothing else for weeks but going to this dance and their plans they all made to meet up before the dance where they were going and what they were doing and who they would be with, goes without saying what you did to them kids by turning them away last night. I spent $100 on a dress $50 on shoes, $10 for the ticket, $20 on the stuff to do her hair, $35 on her corsage, $35 on her friends corsage,$14 on her boyfriends bout, her boyfriend bought a new tie and purchased his ticket. Add that up people that's over $250 just for these kids to go to a High School Homecoming Dance and NOT even get to dance let alone ATTEND. Yeah you refunded 2 of the students there money back for the tickets but that doesn't come no where close to what we spent getting them to that dance, the gas getting there, the time spent getting ready and the time spent getting excited to have a good time with friends. What is wrong with this picture here? You let down students and parents who only wanted to send their kids to a dance kids who just wanted to have fun with friends while listening to music my daughter was vary upset and in tears after being turned away from your school dance and I will be calling and speaking to the principle Monday Morning not Ms. Zunk, who by the way was absolutely no help in this matter at all when speaking to her before my daughter left her school last night all upset. If I could give this school no stars I would. Before last night I would have given this school 5 starts and to think I was actually considering purchasing a new home and moving back to this school district next year because of how much my kids loved attending their schools but I think I'll stick with where we're at now.
